Learning outcomes
1. Propose and justify new approaches to solving tasks and problems.
2. Use the methodology and cognitive tools inherent in philosophy and its applications.
3. To understand the connections of philosophy with other areas of philosophical discourse and other intellectual and humanitarian practices.
4. Participate in scientific discussions on philosophy and interdisciplinary problems, discussions of philosophical issues with experts from other fields of knowledge.
5. Plan and carry out scientific research on philosophy and related issues, formulate and test hypotheses, argue conclusions,
to present research results in various forms of scientific communication

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Before starting this course, students should know the specifics of the problems of theoretical and practical philosophy of the 20th century. different traditions, directions and schools, peculiarities of the relations of philosophy with science, religion, art as forms of the spiritual life of mankind.
2. To be able to carry out analytical and research work; collect and interpret philosophical and scientific literature, solve problems using selected theoretical approaches and methods; form a philosophical expert opinion; argue about key philosophical problems, choosing a reasoned solution.
3. Possess elementary skills of independent study of the recommended literature, including works in English; perform various types
research work (annotations, bibliographies, presentations) on the subject of the academic discipline; properly present the results of conducted research.
Course content
1. Science and religion: the context of comparison.
2. Development of the conceptual foundations of classical science based on the ideas of Christianity.
3. The origins of the conflict between science and religion: the "Galileo case." I. Newton is a scientist and theologian.
4. Evolutionary challenges of science and the theory of creation.
5. Fundamental problems of the modern picture of the world in the discourse of science and theology.
6. Interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary discourse of science and theology.
7. Knowledge, truth, faith. Scientific and religious epistemology.
8. Values of science and values of religion.
9. Scientific and theological interpretations of the anthropic principle. God and Golem.
10. Modern communication technologies and new formats of religious faith.
11 Individual independent work: essay, presentation of independent research
