1.1 Know modern methods of matrix algebra. 1.2 Know the elements of graph theory. 2.1 Be able to use graph theories to analyze social networks. 2.2 Be able to use Markov chains to model social processes.

Course content
I. Matrix algebra and elements of mathematical analysis. 1. Matrix theory. 2. Systems of linear equations. 3. Elements of the theory of integral and differential calculus. 4. Elements of differential equations. II. Graphs and their use. 5. Elements of graph theory. 6. Markov chains.
