Students must meet before starting this course general requirements for knowledge and skills that are put forward in higher education educational institutions. Be able to collect and interpret information about phenomena and phenomena of culture. Possess elementary skills research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting of religious events and phenomena.

Discipline "Religious Studies" belongs to the list of disciplines of students' choice and is taught in 5 semester of bachelor's degree. The discipline introduces students to religious studies. The subject, tasks, theoretical bases are defined, methodologies, main directions and problems of modern religious studies research. The principles of religious activity are being clarified and researched socio-cultural dynamics of religious life. The main ones are considered religious teachings, outlines the typology of religions. The interaction is explained religion and other spheres of human life. Particular attention is paid to history religions in Ukraine.
