Learning outcomes
PLO 19. Use information and communication technologies to solve socio-economic problems, prepare and present analytical reports. PLO 20. Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know: lexical and grammatical bases of oral and written business English of business, management, marketing, and finance. 2. Have the skills of marketing analysis and management evaluation of enterprises, processing, and visualization of statistical data, digitalized processing of business data in Ukrainian and English.
Course content
The course consists of two modules: Module 1 Up-to-date digital tools of translation: electronic dictionaries, reference books on translation web portals and Internet communities, online translators, machine editing tools, literacy and style checking, text formatting. 2. General theoretical aspects of translation: translatability problems; adequacy of content interpretation. 3. Ways to translate realities, phraseology, proper names. 4. Translation of realities in personal documents: CV, transcript, official certificate, certificate, diploma, letter of motivation. 5. Inter-language homonymy and translator's false friends. Module 2 Solutions for translating language differences in economic writing 6. (Part 1) 1. Nouns, 2. The articles, 3. Verbs, 4. Particles. 7. Solutions for translating language differences in economic writing (Part 2). 1. Adjectives 2. Adverbs, 3. Conjunctions.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
1. Participation in practical classes (theoretical discussions, case discussions, presentations) - 20 points / 8 points 2. Independent work - 10 points / 6 points 3. Completing an individual translation project - 20 points / 10 points 4. Completing a group translation project - 10 points / 6 points 6. Individual translation project and its presentation - 20 points / 10 points.
Assessment methods and criteria
The final assessment is in the form of zalik: the maximum score is 20 points, the threshold score is 10 points. The zalik is in writing and consists of a translation into English of the material on economics and economic policy. To get an overall positive grade for the discipline, a zalik score cannot be lower 10 points. If the zalik score is less 10 points, then these points are not added to the semester score (regardless of the number of the semester points gained) and "0" is written in the "zalik points" column, and only the number of points gained at the semester is fixed in the "final grade" column of the Zalik Record List Requirements for admission to zalik: A student is not allowed to take zalik if he or she has earned less than 40 points during the semester.
