Learning outcomes
PLO 3. To know and use economic terminology, explain the basic concepts of micro- and macroeconomics
PLO 4. To understand the principles of economics, especially the functioning of economic systems and methods of economic policy.
PLO 7. To explain the models of socio-economic phenomena from the point of view of fundamental principles and knowledge on the basis of understanding the basic directions of the development of economics and economic policy.
PLO 15. To demonstrate the basic skills of creative and critical thinking in research and professional communication.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering the courses "Economic Theory and Economic Policy", "Economic History", "Philosophy", "Microeconomics", "Macroeconomics".
2. Knowledge of theoretical foundations: fundamental problems of economic theory, correlation of positive and normative economic theory, the functions of economic theory, the main stages and directions of historical economic development in the context of formational and civilizational approaches, basic scientific traditions in the history of philosophy, historical evolution of economic systems and economic orders, general trajectory of historical evolution of economic theory.
3. Skills in basic general scientific and specific methods of economic research, economic categorical apparatus, public speaking.
Course content
The content of the discipline are patterns, factors and stages of historical development of pre-scientific and scientific economic thought; theoretical achievements of leading scientific streams and schools of economic theory in their historical evolution, in the unity of economic orthodoxy and heterodoxy; meaningful content of the main historical stages of development of economic thought; theoretical contribution of its representatives; creative and critical assessment of the most important achievements and features of the historical limitations of their economic views; foundation on this basis positive and normative economic theory

Speeches and additions at seminars, discussion of problematic issues; testing; fixed speeches and presentations; exam.
