Learning outcomes
Achievement of such competencies, skills and abilities as solving complex specialized problems and practical problems in the field of competition law, which involves the application of legal doctrines, legal principles, the ability to solve cases in the field of competition law in situations that require a systematic, logical and functional interpretation of the law, as well as understanding the specifics of its application; drafting law enforcement acts (applications and complaints to the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, draft court decisions on various categories of competition disputes); professional support of operations and processes in the field of economic competition, ability to analyse practical situations in terms of their problematic aspects.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know economic legislation; basics of the organization and performance of economic activity, structure of the state apparatus; basics of the judiciary structure; tasks of the economic courts system. Be able to determine the composition of economic relations, to study legal acts and sources of special literature on the relevant topics of the course, to analyze the provisions of legislation, judicial decisions. Possess basic skills of independent study and application of legislation
Course content
The discipline focuses on the legal regulation of competitive relations, legal support of economic competition, ways of protection against unfair competition; participation in public procurement, obtaining permits from the Antimonopoly Committee for concentrations and concerted actions, which contributes to improving the professional level and competitiveness of future lawyers in legal professions market by deepening knowledge in the field of economic competition. The discipline forms interdisciplinary ties with other disciplines, such as: economic law, administrative law, economic procedural law, develops the ability to draft documents to be submitted to the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine. Considerable attention is paid to the analysis of case law on various categories of competition disputes.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Express questioning or colloquium, interim tests or questioning. Teaching methods include conversation, explanation, scientific discussion on topical issues of the course; problem-based teaching of certain issues of the course, the use of visual material in the form of presentations, the use of statistical methods for presenting material on cases decided by the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine; review and analysis of webinars; practical methods - coordination of students’ actions in solving cases based on real case materials on violation of legislation on protection of economic competition, controlled simulation of students’ consultations and drafting documents on protection against unfair competition; discussion of complex legal issues of the course.
Assessment methods and criteria
Types of formative assessment are chosen by the teacher who conducts practical lessons in accordance with the course syllabus. The teacher who conducts the seminars enters the number of points scored during ongoing performance assessment into the relevant documents of student performance assessment. The final grade is the sum of the student’s points based on the results of the assessment during the semester and the grade for the credit (points obtained at the credit).
