Learning outcomes
PRN2. Confident knowledge of state and foreign languages ​​for the implementation of written and oral communication, in particular in situations of professional and scientific communication; to present research results in state and foreign languages. PRN7. Analyze, compare and classify different areas and schools in linguistics. PRN10. Collect and systematize linguistic, literary facts, create and interpret texts of different styles and genres (within the specialization 035.01 Ukrainian language and literature). PRN16.Use specialized conceptual knowledge in the chosen philological field to solve complex problems and problems that require updating and integration of knowledge, often in conditions of incomplete / insufficient information and conflicting requirements. PRN17. To plan, organize, carry out and present research and / or innovative developments in a specific philological field.

Know the basic linguistic concepts of language as a system. Be able to work analytically with scientific literature, analyze texts. Have basic skills in modeling oral and written texts.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to acquaint bachelor students with a set of basic theoretical issues on the formation, development and functioning of scientific communication in modern conditions of society, as well as to form skills and abilities to apply theoretical knowledge in practice. The course is aimed at forming knowledge about modern scientific communication in the Ukrainian literary language, the specifics of functioning in the latest conditions of society, providing future scientists with appropriate linguistic tools for further independent scientific work. Consider in detail the scientific resource of language tools at all levels, the specifics of the scientific style, criteria and principles of working with multi-genre texts and relevant scientific literature with an emphasis on independent production of texts in accordance with communicative needs.

Lectures and practical classes, management of independent work and control over its implementation, exam.
Assessment methods and criteria
In practical classes, the assessment of the planned types of work is carried out: oral answer, additions, participation in the discussion, presentation, blitz-survey. The semester final grade is formed by the points received by the student in the course of performance of the specified types and forms of training and received on examination. The maximum distribution is carried out according to the algorithm: 60 points (60%) - semester control and 40 points (40%) - exam. Students who scored a total of less than 36 points are not allowed to take the exam. For students who did not reach the threshold level of assessment (36 points) during the semester, to obtain admission to the exam it is necessary to work out the missed topics. The maximum score for additional forms of assessment may not exceed 40% of the final grade (up to 40 points on a 100-point scale).
