Learning outcomes
PRN2. Confidently possess state and foreign languages ​​for the implementation of written and oral communication, in particular in situations of professional and scientific communication; present research results in national and foreign languages. PRN7. To analyze, compare and classify different directions and schools in linguistics. PRN10. Collect and systematize linguistic and literary facts, create and interpret texts of various styles and genres (within specialization 035.01 Ukrainian language and literature). PRN16. Use specialized conceptual knowledge from the chosen philological field to solve complex problems and problems that require updating and integration of knowledge, often in conditions of incomplete/insufficient information and conflicting requirements. PRN17. Plan, organize, carry out and present research and/or innovative developments in a specific philological field.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know the basic linguistic concepts of language as a system. Be able to analytically work with scientific literature, analyze texts. Possess elementary skills of modeling texts in oral and written form.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to acquaint undergraduate students with a complex of fundamental theoretical issues regarding the formation, development and functioning of scientific communication in the modern conditions of the development of society, as well as to form the skills and abilities to apply theoretical knowledge in practice. The course is aimed at forming knowledge about modern scientific communication in the Ukrainian literary language, the specifics of functioning in the latest conditions of society, providing future scientists with the appropriate linguistic tools for further independent scientific creativity. Consider in detail the scientific resource of linguistic means of all levels, the genre specificity of the scientific style, the criteria and principles of working with texts of various genres and relevant scientific literature with an emphasis on the independent production of texts in accordance with communicative needs

Lectures and practical classes, guidance of independent work and control over its implementation, exam.
Assessment methods and criteria
In the practical classes, the planned types of work are evaluated: oral answer, addition, participation in the discussion, presentation, blitz survey. The semester final grade is formed by the points obtained by the student in the process of performing the specified types and forms of education and obtained in the exam. The maximum distribution is carried out according to the algorithm: 60 points (60%) - semester control and 40 points (40%) - exam. Students who scored a total of less than 36 points are not allowed to take the exam. For students who during the semester did not reach the cut-off grade level (36 points), it is necessary to work on the missed topics in order to be admitted to the exam. The maximum mark for additional assessment forms cannot exceed 40% of the final mark (up to 40 points on a 100-point scale).
