Learning outcomes
Achieving by students such competencies, skills and abilities as: ability to apply the provisions of current legislation on the organization and conduct of certain types of elections; skills of argumentation of legal positions on application of provisions of the legislation which regulate features of the organization and carrying out of separate kinds and types of elections; skills of reasoned written speech using the terminology of election law; skills of making proposals for improving the current legislation on certain typesof elections.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Understand and know the constitutional and legal requirements for elections as the main form of direct democracy, constitutional principles of organization and conduct of elections, the main types of electoral systems used in national and local elections in Ukraine. Have the skills of systematic analysis and application of legal regulations to specific life situations, as well as consistent argumentation and defense of a particular legal position. Have the skills of describing legal positions in writing.
Course content
The discipline acquaints students with the peculiarities of organizing and conducting all types of elections provided by current election legislation, in particular, national (presidential elections and elections of people's deputies of Ukraine), local (village, mayoral elections and regional, district, city elections, village, district councils in cities). When studying the discipline, students gain knowledge about the special features and order for implementing certain electoral procedures of the above elections within and outside the electoral process of the relevant elections, as well as the system of relevant legislation at the level of laws and regulations.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures and seminary activities - with the introduction of interactive teaching methods (brainstorming, case studies, discussions and others). Solving situational problems is planned; preparation of certain types of election documentation; writing essays by students on problematic issues of election legislation
Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment methods - the type of work / activity of the applicant, which will assess the level of achievement of learning outcomes (testing, creative tasks, individual work, independent work, etc. and the minimum threshold after which a positive assessment is credited) - and evaluation criteria are communicated to applicants before beginning of the study of the discipline by a teacher who conducts seminars. At the ongoing and final performance evaluation are subject to assessment: the level of "Knowledge", "Understanding", "Application", "Analysis" / "Synthesis" / "Evaluation", demonstrated by the applicant. The maximum total number of points the applicant can score in the ongoing performance evaluation - 40, in the exam - 60. The final score for the discipline is set on a 100-point scale (ECTS) and a national scale.
