Learning outcomes
Achievement by students of such competencies, skills and abilities as: ability to apply the provisions of current legislation, which determine the guarantees of active suffrage, the principles of suffrage, the functioning of the State Register of Voters; skills of argumentation of legal positions on application of provisions of the legislation by which guarantees of realization of the right to vote and the order of their realization; skills of reasoned written speech with the use of suffrage terminology in the part concerning guarantees of the right to vote; skills of formulating proposals for improving the current legislation on legal guarantees of the right to vote

Understands and knows the constitutional and legal requirements for elections as the main form of direct democracy,
constitutional principles of organization and conduct of elections, the main types of electoral systems used in national and local elections in Ukraine.
Has the skills of systematic analysis and application of legal norms to specific life situations, as well as consistent argumentation and defense of a particular legal position. Has the skills of writing legal positions
Course content
The discipline acquaints students with the features of guarantees of voting rights provided by current election legislation, in particular, electoral qualifications of active suffrage, legal principles that characterize the institution of voting (exercise of voting rights), the organization and maintenance of the State Register of Voters, the status and powers of the Central Election commissions aimed at guaranteeing the exercise of the right to vote.
When studying the discipline students gain knowledge about the features and procedure for applying and implementing electoral qualifications, legal principles of suffrage and the right to vote, organization and maintenance of the State Register of Voters, the exercise of powers of the Central Election Commission and the functioning of the network of polling stations. as well as on the system of relevant legislation at the level of laws and regulations.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures and seminars are conducted using the method of Socratic dialogue, colloquium, discussion, case study, tests, essays, solving a legal problem, performing individual tasks.
Assessment methods and criteria
Current and final control is used to determine the level of learning material.
Assessment methods - the type of work / activity of the applicant, which will assess the level of achievement of learning outcomes (testing, creative tasks, individual work, independent work, etc. and the minimum threshold after which a positive assessment is credited) - and evaluation criteria are communicated to applicants before beginning of the study of the discipline by a teacher who conducts seminars.
At the ongoing and final performance evaluation are subject to assessment: the level of "Knowledge", "Understanding", "Application", "Analysis" / "Synthesis" / "Evaluation", demonstrated by the applicant.
If the applicant is absent from the seminar for good reasons, he can work out the missed lesson at extracurricular time. Points are not awarded for missed classes.
The maximum number of points that a total of the applicant can score in the current control - 40, in the final - 60.
