Learning outcomes
PR03. Carry out technical and economic calculations of design decisions and analyze and evaluate their effectiveness, environmental and social consequences in the short and long term.
PR04. Be able to choose and apply the most appropriate methods of mathematical modeling and optimization in the development of scientific and technical projects.
PR07. Have the skills to isolate, identify, store, cultivate, immobilize biological agents, optimize nutrient media, choose the best methods of analysis, isolation and purification of the target product, using modern biotechnological methods and techniques inherent in a particular area of biotechnology.
PR08. Plan and manage research, scientific and technical and / or production projects in the field of biotechnology, based on current trends in science, technology and society.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of courses of EL "Bachelor".
2. Be able to independently apply knowledge of biochemistry, biotechnology, the basics of modern biotechnology laboratory, etc. disciplines, perform laboratory and practical work, work with scientific and methodological literature.
3. Have basic skills in working with materials and equipment used in biological and biotechnological laboratories.
Course content
Discipline "Pilot projects in biotechnology" covers the study of key patterns in the development of biotechnology project, calculation of its economic component, risk assessment of biotechnology project, miscalculations of all stages of the pilot project, their features and potential risks of failure to complete the pilot project. on the basis of which it is possible to introduce the developed technology into production and enter the biotechnology market.
