PRN03. Carry out technical and economic calculations of design decisions and analyze and evaluate their effectiveness, environmental and social consequences in the short and long term. PRN04. Be able to choose and apply the most appropriate methods of mathematical modeling and optimization in the development of scientific and technical projects. PRN07. Have the skills to isolate, identify, store, cultivate, immobilize biological agents, optimize nutrient media, choose the best methods of analysis, isolation and purification of the target product, using modern biotechnological methods and techniques inherent in a particular area of ​​biotechnology. PRN08. Plan and manage research, scientific and technical and / or production projects in the field of biotechnology, based on current trends in science, technology and society.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of courses of EL "Bachelor". 2. Be able to independently apply knowledge of biochemistry, biotechnology, etc. disciplines, perform laboratory and practical work, work with scientific and methodological literature. 3. Have basic skills in working with materials and equipment used in structural units of biotechnological institutions of the relevant profile.
Course content
Discipline "Design of pilot plants in biotechnology" covers theoretical and practical aspects of modern approaches to the design of pilot biotechnological processes, basics of economic procedures in biotechnological technology development and production of a particular biotechnological product, principles of general organization of pilot biotechnological production. The discipline helps to form in future specialists-biotechnologists a holistic idea of ​​creating a pilot biotechnological production in terms of obtaining competitive biotechnological products in today's market.
