Learning outcomes
PLO 12. Apply the acquired theoretical knowledge to solve practical tasks and meaningfully interpret the obtained results.
PLO 17. Perform interdisciplinary analysis of socio-economic phenomena and problems in one or more professional areas, taking into account the risks and possible socio-economic consequences.

PLO 26. Understand and skillfully use mathematical and numerical methods often used in economic research.
PLO 27. Use appropriate software (programming languages, packages) for economic and mathematical research.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the basic operating systems and programs for working with text and tables.
2. Have the skills to work with text editors, spreadsheets.
Course content
The curriculum consists of the following content modules:
1. Application of MS Office for automated information processing. The module examines the issues of working with MS Word, MS Excel, processing documents of any level of complexity.
2. Creation of information systems based on MS Office. The module examines the use of VBA in MS Office applications, working with databases, preparation of entry-level information systems.

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment:
1. Homework check - 20 points / 12 points
2. Two tests and independent tests in the classroom - 20 points / 12 points.
3. Project implementation - 20 points / 12 points.
- final assessment in the form of an exam
A student is not allowed to take the exam if he / she received less than 36 points during the semester.
If the student's grade on the exam is lower than the minimum threshold level (24 points), the points for the exam are not added to the semester grade (considered equal to zero), and the final grade in the discipline is unsatisfactory.
