1. To have the skills of critical thinking, to present personal opinion, to argue. 2. To analyze, comment and summarize texts of cultural studies.3. To create texts on cultural studies. 4. To know and understand theoretical approaches to definition of culture, its manifestations and forms.5. To collect, organize and analyze information on cultural phenomena, events and processes.7. To understand the factors of cultural dynamics, the principles of periodization of cultural processes, their specifics and characteristics.8. To interpret cultural sources using special literature and certain methods, tо present reasonably conclusions regarding their content. 14. To conduct a public discussion and maintain a dialogue on Ukrainian culture with professionals and non-specialists.

Full-time form

1. Before writing the course paper on Ukrainian culture, students must know the main stages and characteristics of the historical and cultural process; basic culturological concepts and categories. 2. Be able to collect and interpret information on cultural phenomena, cultural processes and events; apply basic terms and categories in the analysis of socio-cultural phenomena and processes. 3. Have basic skills in research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting in relation to political, economic, cultural and artistic events and phenomena.

The course work on the history of Ukrainian culture is an integral part of the educational process and is designed to integrate scientific, educational and industrial factors in the educational process. While preparing the course work on the history of Ukrainian culture and during its public defense, students must demonstrate the acquired knowledge, skills and practical skills, ways of thinking, professional, ideological and civic qualities.Thecourse work on the history of Ukrainian culture involves solving a specialized problem or practical problems of Ukrainian culture. In the process of course work on the history of Ukrainian culture, the student develops the ability to think critically, generate new knowledge, self-righteous work, organization and implementation of research activities in the field of culture. Public defense provides the experience needed for further work in professional field.
