Describe and analyze the principles of structural and functional organization, mechanisms of regulation and adaptation of organisms to the influence of various factors. PR20. On the basis of in-depth knowledge of natural sciences to form an idea of the laws of individual and historical development of biological systems at different levels of organization, the role of systemic processes in their formation, functioning and plasticity, features of their cooperative interaction. PR26. Be able to form a system of analysis and interpretation of new results on the organization and functioning of the animal organism at the organismal and population levels based on in-depth knowledge of the disciplines of vocational training.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know - the basic plans of the structure of animals and the criteria by which they can be compared with each other; directions of morphological evolution within the types and classes of animals; main features of the structure of various animal organ systems; principles of origin and development of tissues, organs and organ systems in animals; principles and features of adaptation of an organism to conditions of existence; basic methods of obtaining factual data. 2. Be able to - determine the level of structural organization and organic differentiation of animals; choose methods for conducting specific research in the field of evolutionary morphology; plan morphological studies of animals; to determine the systematic affiliation of different representatives of animals based on their morphological features. 3. Possess basic skills of morphological research of animals, methods of statistical data processing.
Course content
The course "Evolutionary Morphology of Animals" is a discipline of free choice of students. The relevance of the study of this discipline is determined by the need and importance of students' understanding of the causes and ways of forming plans for the structure of animals, the emergence and transformation of individual organs and organ systems during the evolutionary process. Comparing the directions of evolutionary transformation of the structure of organs in connection with their functions allows us to understand the adaptation to the conditions of existence of organisms as integral systems, the origin and evolution of different groups of animals. The theoretical core of the discipline "Evolutionary morphology of animals" are such sciences as anatomy, morphology, general zoology, ecology. However, it is closely related to disciplines such as evolutionary theory, taxonomy and taxonomy, and biodiversity.
