The discipline "Historical development of the animal world" is a discipline of free choice of students. In the course "Historical development of the animal world" students have the opportunity to analyze the historical development, evolution and formation of modern diversity of different taxonomic groups of living organisms (with emphasis on paleozoological objects), from the time of life on Earth to the present. Particular attention is paid to the main aromamorphoses that have occurred at various levels of organization of living organisms over billions of years. In addition, the discipline outlines the range of methods and techniques of research that can be used in the formulation of experiments in related sciences. The discipline is designed to summarize the idea of ​​the direction and patterns of reconstruction of paleoecosystems during different geochronological units.
