Course content
"Genome instability" considers the phenomenon of genome instability as a fundamental and integral property. Attention is paid to the general causes of genome instability, molecular repair mechanisms that ensure genome stabilization, the role of specific genomic sequences, mobile genetic elements, chromatin structures in the stabilization and destabilization of the genome. Attention is paid to the mechanisms of genome destabilization in normal and pathological processes. The role of genome instability in micro- and macroevolution is discussed.
