PR6. Analyze biological phenomena and processes at the molecular, cellular, organismal, population-species and biosphere levels in terms of basic general scientific knowledge, as well as using special modern research methods. PR9. Plan research, choose effective research methods and their material support. PR18. Model objects and processes in living organisms and their components using mathematical methods and information technology. PR19. Solve scientific-theoretical, research and applied problems of biology by appropriate methods. PR20. On the basis of in-depth knowledge of natural sciences to form an idea of ​​the laws of individual and historical development of biological systems at different levels of organization, the role of systemic processes in their formation, functioning and plasticity, features of their cooperative interaction.

Course content
The course is devoted to the basic principles of structural organization, physical behavior and functioning of biological macromolecules - nucleic acids and proteins. The structure and conformational mobility of biopolymers, mechanisms of stabilization of their spatial structure, regularities of cooperative structural transformations, electrostatic, hydrophobic and other noncovalent interactions in biopolymers, basics of polymer physics, topology of circular DNA, principles of modern methods of biopolymers research are considered.
