Learning outcomes
PR1. Know the state and foreign languages ​​at a level sufficient for communication on professional issues and presentation of the results of their own research. PR2. Use libraries, information databases, Internet resources to search for the necessary information. PR4. Solve complex problems in the field of biology, generate and evaluate ideas. PR6. Analyze biological phenomena and processes at the molecular, cellular, organismal, population-species and biosphere levels in terms of basic general scientific knowledge, as well as using special modern research methods. PR8. Apply during research knowledge of the peculiarities of the development of modern biological science, the basic methodological principles of scientific research, methodological and methodological tools for conducting research in specialization. PR12. Use innovative approaches to solve complex problems of biology under uncertain conditions and requirements.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of the courses "Biochemistry", "Molecular Biology", "Genetics". Knowledge of theoretical foundations of mathematics, molecular biology, physical chemistry, bioinformatics, biochemistry, biotechnology, cytology, genetics and cytogenetics. Ability to independently apply knowledge of molecular biology, etc. disciplines, perform laboratory and practical work, work with scientific literature.
Course content
"Genomics" covers the study of genomics - as a separate and complete discipline that is directly related to modern methods of obtaining and analyzing recombinant DNA, cloning specific genes and the use of cloned DNA, DNA sequencing, PCR, genome mapping, use of DNA markers, genomic maps in genetic analysis, as well as provides information on the physical organization of entire genomes, functional genomics, which characterizes the products of gene expression (proteomes, etc.).
