Learning outcomes
PR01. Demonstrate communication in dialogue with colleagues and the target audience, conduct professional scientific discussions, reflect in writing and present the results of their research in Ukrainian. PR03. Use theories and laws of mathematics, physics, chemistry and other sciences to solve problems of modern biology. PR04. Understand the basic terms, concepts, principles, theories and laws in the field of biological sciences and on the boundaries of subject areas. PR05. Use knowledge and demonstrate compliance with the provisions of biological ethics, biological safety and biological protection. PR15. Apply in professional activities methods for determining the structural and functional characteristics of biological systems at different levels of the organization. PR16. Choose methods, algorithms for planning and conducting field, laboratory, clinical and laboratory studies, including mathematical methods and software for research, processing and presentation of results.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the courses "Molecular Biology", "Biochemistry", "Bioorganic Chemistry", "General Cytology", "Histology", and "Microbiology". 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of chemistry, physics and mathematics. 3. Ability to independently use theoretical knowledge of the above disciplines to solve practical problems, work with scientific electronic databases, scientific literature, the ability to system analysis.
Course content
The discipline "Laboratory Workshop on Molecular Biology" is part of the educational program of professional training "Bachelor", which aims to develop students' general skills in planning and conducting molecular biological research, mastering basic methods of molecular biology, analysis and interpretation of experimental results. During the laboratory workshop students gain basic skills of laboratory research, get acquainted with the basic methods used to work with nucleic acids and proteins of humans and other organisms, as well as their scope, principles of bioinformatics analysis and work with electronic databases.
