PR03. Use theories and laws of mathematics, physics, chemistry and other sciences to solve problems of modern biology. PR04. Understand the basic terms, concepts, principles, theories and laws in the field of biological sciences and on the boundaries of subject areas. PR07. Demonstrate knowledge of the structural organization of biological systems at the molecular level of the organization. PR15. Apply in professional activities methods for determining the structural and functional characteristics of biological systems at different levels of the organization. PR17. Through self-study to master new knowledge and modern methods of experimental research to solve problems of biology. PR21. Solve applied problems of biology appropriate methods. PR23.9. Have basic methods of modern molecular biology. PR25.9. Apply the acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills to plan and conduct a scientific experiment in the field of molecular biology.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the courses "Molecular Biology", "Biochemistry", "Bioorganic Chemistry", "General Cytology", "Histology", and "Microbiology". 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of chemistry, physics and mathematics. 3. Ability to independently use theoretical knowledge of the above disciplines to solve practical problems, work with scientific electronic databases, scientific literature, the ability to system analysis.
Course content
The discipline "Methods of Molecular Biology" is part of the educational program of professional training of specialists at the educational level "Bachelor". The course is devoted to the study of the principles of modern methods of molecular biological research and the peculiarities of their application in the analysis of biological macromolecules and interactions between them. In the course of studying the discipline the possibilities and limitations of using different methods of molecular biology to achieve a specific scientific and practical task, the principles of choosing the most appropriate method, based on the purpose of the study. The course outlines a range of molecular biological research methods that can be used in conducting experiments in related sciences and in interdisciplinary research.
