Learning outcomes
PLO 3.To know and use economic terminology, explain the basic concepts of micro- and macroeconomics. PLO 5. To apply analytical and methodical tools for substantiating proposals and making managerial decisions by various economic agents (individuals, households, enterprises and government authorities). PLO 6. To use professional arguments to transmit information, ideas, problems and ways of their solving to professionals and non-professionals in the field of economic activity. PLO 21. To be able to think abstractly, apply analysis and synthesis to identify the key characteristics of economic systems of various levels, as well as the peculiarities of their subjects' behavior.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know: theoretical fundamentals of macro- and microeconomics, economic theory, bases of financial and economic parameters of the enterprise effectiveness 2. To use: skills of analysis, synthesis, processing and presentation of statistical data, work with the legal frameworks, use of Microsoft Office Word, Microsoft Office Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint.
Course content
In this course theoretical principles of investment, forms of investment and problems of financial support of investment processes in Ukraine are revealed. The following are covered: principles of investment policy formation in a market economy; state regulation of investment activity; management of investment support for structural adjustment of the economy; features of attracting foreign investment in the innovative development of industrial enterprises. The following are disclosed: tools and principles of substantiation of management decisions in investment activity of enterprises; basic provisions of investment design; the concept of the cost of capital in the investment analysis.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Teaching methods: lectures, practice sessions, individual work of student. Discussions, surveys, problem solving, modular tests take place during scheduled classes. The student's independent work is based on performing of individual calculation tasks related to the analysis of the structure of investment costs, assessing the investment attractiveness of enterprises, determining the effectiveness of investment projects, the formation of investment portfolios of enterprises. Individual work of students consists 2 complex tasks. Also, 2 modular tests are included into the course.
Assessment methods and criteria
1. Oral interview, discussion (max 10 points / min 6 points). 2. Problems solving (max 20 points / min 12 points). 3. Modular tests (max 20 points / min 12 points). 4. Individual work (max 10 points / min 6 points). 5. Exam (max 40 points / min 24 points).
