Learning outcomes
PR03. Carry out technical and economic calculations of design decisions and analyze and evaluate their effectiveness, environmental and social consequences in the short and long term.
PR04. Be able to choose and apply the most appropriate methods of mathematical modeling and optimization in the development of scientific and technical projects.
PR05. Know the molecular organization and regulation of gene expression, replication, recombination and repair, restriction and modification of genetic material in pro- and eukaryotes, the strategy of creating recombinant DNA for targeted design of biological agents.
PR06. To know and evaluate the main methods of cultivation of eukaryotic cells of animal and plant origin, to develop new technologies for their use in scientific purposes, medicine, agriculture, etc.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successfully master the scientific-theoretical and practical material of the complex of educational disciplines of the educational level "Bachelor".
Know the theoretical foundations of microbiology, genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology and basic methods of biological research.
Be able to work with information databases, independently develop scientific and methodological literature.
Be able to use materials and laboratory equipment in research.
Possess methods of analytical evaluation of the results of biological research to solve a specific scientific and practical problem.
Course content
The discipline "Biotechnology of Antibiotics" covers issues of modern directions of biotechnology and microbiology, analyzes modern technological schemes of secondary metabolites of microorganisms, parameters aimed at the synthesis of antibiotics, mechanisms of correlation of morphogenesis of producers with the level of antibiotic synthesis.
