Learning outcomes
PR01. Demonstrate communication in dialogue with colleagues and the target audience, conduct professional scientific discussions, reflect in writing and present the results of their research in Ukrainian. PR02. Identify the possibility of communicating in a foreign language in a dialogue with colleagues and target audience. PR03. Use theories and laws of mathematics, physics, chemistry and other sciences to solve problems of modern biology. PR07. Demonstrate knowledge of the structural organization of biological systems at the molecular level of the organization. PR08. Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental biological processes, structure and functions of living organisms. PR11. Analyze the forms of relationships between micro- and macro-organisms with the definition of the main directions of these processes

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know: basics of general microbiology, biochemistry, biophysics. 2. Be able to independently apply knowledge of general microbiology, biochemistry, biophysics. 3. Have basic skills in processing scientific literature, solving problems, working with materials and equipment used in the microbiological laboratory.
Course content
The subject of the discipline is microbiological processes in modern technologies of domestic and industrial wastewater treatment, the role of microorganisms in the process of wastewater treatment by biological methods, the variety of their metabolism and forms of existence in different types of treatment plants under aerobic and anaerobic conditions. xenobiotics and ways of their destruction
