Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of courses "Microbiology", "Cytology of bacteria", "Genetics", "Biochemistry".
2. Be able to independently apply knowledge of molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology, etc. disciplines, work with scientific and methodological literature.
3. Have basic skills to identify the basic structures of prokaryotic cells and determine their physiological characteristics.
Course content
The discipline is a basic discipline that covers the position of prokaryotic microorganisms in the system of living beings.
Sections of the program allow students to get an idea of different groups of prokaryotes. The presented material provides a sufficient level of knowledge of modern microbiologists to detect and identify cultured forms of microorganisms. The lecture material is grouped and considered in such a way that in some cases individual representatives of taxonomic groups are characterized, and in others - their certain physiological groups.
An important place is given to the differences in the structure between the 1st and 2nd editions of "Systematics of Bergi bacteria", as well as the main groups of the 9th edition of "Determinant of Bergi bacteria"
