Learning outcomes
Know: the system of sources of legislation on social protection of children and youth in Ukraine; principles and directions of social and legal protection of children and youth in Ukraine.
Be able to analyze, systematize and summarize the rules of law in the field of social protection of children and youth in Ukraine and their types; to reveal current issues of social and legal protection of children and problems of implementation of the state youth policy in Ukraine.
Evaluate, draw up and express conclusions, results;
Form legal positions and prepare analytical documents to resolve issues and practical situations in the field of social protection of children and youth in Ukraine.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the genesis of the development of social protection of children and youth, the development of domestic legislation on their social protection, compliance with international legal obligations of Ukraine in the field of social protection of children and youth.
2. Be able to: distinguish forms and types of social protection of children and youth under the legislation of Ukraine, characterize guarantees and social benefits as legal means of social protection of children and youth under the legislation of Ukraine.
3. Be able to independently search, analyze and process information on the legal basis for the implementation of the right to social protection of children and youth from various sources; work in the scientific space, to be creative, to generate new ideas on the issues of legal regulation of social protection of children and youth;
Course content
Forms and methods of teaching this course are aimed at forming a system of theoretical skills and abilities to study social protection of children and youth, namely knowledge of the formation, current state and prospects of Ukrainian legislation on social protection of children and youth, their legal status as subjects of social security law; forms and types of social protection of youth under the legislation of Ukraine and their guarantees, as well as ways to protect their rights.

Assessment methods and criteria
The maximum final grade for this course is 100 points. A student can receive a maximum of 60 points in the final test (credit), to which the points obtained during seminars are added. To obtain an overall positive grade in the discipline, the grade for the final test cannot be less than 36 points. If the student scored less than 36 points, the latter are not added to the semester grade (regardless of the number of points obtained during the semester), and the information in the “exam scores” column is “0”, respectively, only the number of points obtained during the semester is transferred to the “resulting grade” column.
