Learning outcomes
Know: the system of legislation sources on social security of foreign countries and the system of international legal regulation of social security;
Be able to analyze, systematize and generalize the provisions of social security law of foreign countries; distinguish between relations governed by the social security law from relations governed by other branches of law.
Evaluate, draw up and express conclusions and results; Form legal positions and prepare analytical documents to resolve issues and practical situations in the field of foreign social security.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the genesis of the development of social institutions, the problems of codification and systematization of social rights in Ukraine, compliance with international legal obligations of Ukraine in the field of social security; features of the social legal state of vulnerable groups; functioning principles of the system of social security bodies in the European Union, their powers and functions.
2. Be able to navigate the system of sources of international legal regulation of social security and distinguish between relations governed by social security law from relations governed by other branches of law.
3. Be able to independently search, analyze and process information on social security issues from various sources; to work in the international scientific space, to show creativity, to generate new ideas on the issues of legal regulation of social security in foreign countries;

Course content
Forms and methods of teaching this course are aimed at forming a system of theoretical skills and abilities to study the social security of foreign countries, namely knowledge of the legal status of the subjects of social security law in foreign countries; historical development of foreign social security systems; general principles of compulsory state insurance in foreign countries; legal regulation of non-state pension provision, special pensions in foreign countries; as well as the types, grounds and procedure for providing social assistance, services and benefits in European countries.

Verbal: explanations, discussions, lectures, seminars; visual: illustration, demonstration, self-observation; practical: analysis of judicial practice, law-making practice
Assessment methods and criteria
The maximum final grade for this course is 100 points. A student can receive a maximum of 60 points in the final test (credit), to which the points obtained during seminars are added. To obtain an overall positive grade in the discipline, the grade for the final test cannot be less than 36 points. If the student scored less than 36 points, the latter are not added to the semester grade (regardless of the number of points obtained during the semester), and the information in the “exam scores” column is “0”, respectively, only the number of points obtained during the semester is transferred to the “resulting grade” column.
