1. Successful mastering of the courses "General Cytology", "Histology", "Biochemistry", "Molecular Biology", "Human and Animal Physiology", "Inorganic Chemistry", "Organic Chemistry". 2. Be able to independently apply knowledge of general cytology, histology, biochemistry, physiology and other disciplines, perform laboratory and practical work, work with scientific and methodological literature. 3. Have basic skills in working with materials and equipment, adhere to safety precautions when working with chemicals used in cytological, histological, pathomorphological and embryological laboratories.
Course content
Laboratory workshop on cytology and histology is a basic discipline in which students learn the basic methods of developmental biology and general pathomorphology. During laboratory classes, students master the methods of analyzing the functional state of the reproductive system and assessing the course of histo- and embryogenesis of animals, the causes of pathologies of embryogenesis and possible ways to correct them. At the ultrastructural and light-optical level, the structure of human and animal organs is compared in detail to identify cellular and tissue composition in order to establish the functional state and detect histopathological changes at the macro- and microscopic levels compared to normal. Attention is paid to acquaintance with methods and techniques of research that can be used in the formulation of experiments in related fields of biological and medical sciences - clinical diagnosis, oncological practice, forensic examination, reproductive technologies.
