PR04. Understand the basic terms, concepts, principles, theories and laws in the field of biological sciences and on the borders of subject areas PR06. Apply the principles of taxonomy, methods of detection and identification of non-cellular life forms, prokaryotes and eukaryotes. PR15. Apply in professional activities methods for determining the structural and functional characteristics of biological systems at different levels of the organization. PR17. Through self-study to master new knowledge and modern methods of experimental research to solve problems of biology. PR23.6. Organize zoological research. PR25.6. Conduct a systematic analysis of the diversity of the animal world based on an understanding of the mechanisms of adaptation of different species of animals to the environment, as well as interactions with other organisms.

Full-time form

1. Know the features of the organization of representatives of different taxa of animals. 2. To be able to plan and carry out scientific and practical research in the field of animal species diversity, to prepare the results for publication in the scientific literature. 3. Have basic skills in using specialized computer programs to present data in text format, search and analyze information in specialized journals and the Internet.

The subject of the discipline "Fundamentals of classification and nomenclature of animals" is a number of issues related to the rules of creation and modification of the modern system of animals. As a result of studying this discipline students will know the place of animals in the organic world and animal macrosystem, have methods of analysis of taxonomic features, describe taxa and determine their rank, know the principles of zoological nomenclature and be able to prepare publications in taxonomy and fauna.
