Learning outcomes
PR04. Understand the basic terms, concepts, principles, theories and laws in the field of biological sciences and on the boundaries of subject areas.
PR08. Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental biological processes, structure and functions of living organisms.
PR10. To establish regularities of interaction of living organisms of different forms of structural organization with each other, features of influence of various factors on living organisms and to estimate their role in biosphere processes of biotic transformation of substances and energy.
PR15. Apply in professional activities methods for determining the structural and functional characteristics of biological systems at different levels of the organization.
PR17. Through self-study to master new knowledge and modern methods of experimental research to solve problems of biology.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "Zoology", "Theory of Evolution", "Ecology and Nature Protection".
2. Ability to independently apply knowledge of general zoology, theory of evolution, animal ecology and other disciplines to solve specific scientific and practical problems; work with scientific and scientific-methodical literature.
3. Possession of basic skills of systems analysis.
Course content
"Parasitology" is a discipline of free choice of students, covering a wide range of issues related to diversity, features of biology and ecology, the formation of adaptations to parasitic lifestyles, the practical significance of unicellular and multicellular animals - human and animal parasites, and outlines a range of methods , methodological approaches and algorithms of analysis that can be used in conducting research in related sciences and in interdisciplinary projects and that require in-depth knowledge of parasitology.
