Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "General Cytology", "Histology", "Human Anatomy", "Animal and Human Physiology", "Biochemistry", "Genetics". 2. Ability to independently apply knowledge of cytology, histology, physiology, biochemistry, genetics, etc. disciplines for solving specific scientific and practical problems; work with scientific and scientific-methodical literature. 3. Possession of basic skills with histological specimens, electrograms.
Course content
The course covers issues of microscopic structure at the tissue, cellular and subcellular levels, development and activity of individual organs and systems, patterns of morpho-functional changes of organs when changing their physiological status, which is the object of a wide range of histologists, and methods and techniques of histological studies , which can be used in conducting research in related sciences and in interdisciplinary projects and which require in-depth knowledge of histology. The discipline is designed to create a basis of morphological knowledge necessary for the successful mastering of other medical and biological disciplines, as well as for the development of correct ideas about the pathogenesis and morphogenesis of diseases.
