Course content
The discipline considers the theoretical foundations and practical methods of topographic survey, the creation of plan-height justification, the implementation of contour survey and terrain. The study of the discipline provides knowledge of topographic maps as a way of depicting the Earth's surface, which is characterized by a high degree of completeness of content, reliability and accuracy. Students get acquainted with the methods of creating topographic maps and their application for the needs of science and practice. The acquired knowledge is the basis for working with maps of different types and kinds, as well as a basis for acquaintance with cartographic and aerospace methods of studying the earth's surface, the features of various cartographic works, which are considered in further study. This knowledge contributes to the successful use of maps in field and in-house research during training and production practice.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures and laboratory classes, independent work
Assessment methods and criteria
current (semester) assessment (laboratory work (minimum grade 24, maximum 40; tests (6 - 10); independent work (5 - 10)); final (final) assessment in the form of an exam (assessment for knowledge of theory) (minimum 12, maximum 20 points); assessment for the practical part (13 - 20)). For students who scored a total of less than the critical-calculated minimum - 35 points, to be admitted to the form of final control, it is necessary to pass an additional individual complex task.
