PRO4. Understand the basic terms, concepts, principles, theories and laws in the field of biological sciences and on the boundaries of subject areas. PRO9. Demonstrate knowledge of heredity and variability, molecular mechanisms of conservation and realization of genetic information and importance in evolutionary processes. PR10. Establish patterns of interaction of living organisms of different forms of structural organization between themselves, features of the influence of various factors on living organisms and assess their role in biosphere processes biotic transformation of substances and energy. PR14. Use knowledge and understanding of the basics general ecology, principles of optimal nature management and nature protection. PR16. Choose methods, planning algorithms and conducting field, laboratory, clinical laboratory tests, including mathematical methods and software for research, processing and presentation of results.

Course content
The discipline of "genetic monitoring" is a basic biological discipline that deals with methods of assessing the emergence and accumulation of genotoxic substances in the environment, namely, studying the spectrum of their mutational effects and the ability to induce genetic disorders. The discipline is designed to summarize the idea of ​​different systems for assessing the risks associated with environmental pollution, as well as determining the genetic burden in populations of living organisms. The course aims to acquaint students with the basic methods of biological diagnosis of environmental objects and the basic principles of genetic monitoring and its importance for assessing genetic risks to humans.
