Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the structure and basic functions of the respiratory and immune systems. Know the basics of cytology, histology and anatomy. 2. Have basic skills of summarizing, systematizing and assimilating information.
Course content
In the course "Physiology of blood and respiration", which consists of two modules, blood and respiratory system are considered as independent elements of the body and as elements of one functional respiratory system. Physiological processes that are covered within the discipline are studied at the molecular, cellular, tissue, organ and organ systems levels. The material of the first module is devoted to the blood system. The second module of the course reveals the mechanisms of external and internal respiration. The acquired knowledge can be used by students not only in the educational process, but also during scientific activities in the field of related and interdisciplinary sciences
