PR04. Understand the basic terms, concepts, principles, theories and laws in the field of biological sciences and on the boundaries of subject areas. PR07. Demonstrate knowledge of the structural organization of biological systems at the molecular level of the organization. PR08. Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental biological processes, structure and functions of living organisms, the implementation of genetic information and importance in evolutionary processes. PR12. Demonstrate knowledge of the structure and functions of the immune system, cellular and molecular mechanisms of immune responses, their regulation, genetic control; types of immunity and methods of assessing the immune status of the organism. PR17. Through self-study to master new knowledge and modern methods of experimental research to solve problems of biology. PR23.4. Apply basic knowledge, skills and abilities to identify and identify pathogens of viral diseases.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of scientific-theoretical and practical material of academic disciplines taught to students of educational level "Bachelor". 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of virology, immunology, biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, cytology and histology, physiology, etc. 3. To have basic skills of analytical evaluation of research results conducted in the fields of biology and virology to solve a specific scientific and practical problem.
Course content
The course is designed to summarize the student's understanding of the causes, conditions and mechanisms of the immune response in various forms of viral infections: the processes of disease and recovery; current trends and directions in the control and prevention of controlled and uncontrolled, emergent infections; mechanisms of changes that occur in the infected organism and the causes of ineffective immune response. The discipline is a basic discipline that covers issues of prevention and control of viral infections. The acquired knowledge can be used both in research of related sciences and in interdisciplinary projects and which require knowledge of this discipline.
