The bachelor’s qualification work is the result of the student’s scientific and creative search during his studies at the University at the Department of Geodesy and Cartography at the first level of higher education and should show the level of theoretical and practical training of the future specialist with a basic higher education, his general scientific and special knowledge, practical research skills work Such work can be performed on the basis of actual material collected during practicals (in particular, production in the third year) and its camera processing; based on the study of literary sources (in particular, stock literature). An abstract or compilative work cannot be considered as a bachelor's qualifying work.

Full-time form

The writing of bachelor's qualification papers at the Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University (KNU) is regulated by the current legislation and normative documents of the university, in particular: the Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education" [8], the Regulation on the Organization of the Educational Process at the Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, introduced in effect of the Order of the Rector dated April 11, 2022 under No. 170-32.

Defenses of qualification papers are held in public at a meeting of the examination commission (EC). A mandatory prerequisite for admission to the defense of a bachelor's thesis is the approval of research results and main conclusions at scientific conferences or their publication in scientific publications.

When evaluating the bachelor's qualification work, the Examination Board cannot take into account the student's overall current academic performance. The final grade is set as the arithmetic average of the grades given by the Chairman and members of the EC.
