Learning outcomes
It consists in the studied regularities of the organization of the use of land as a territorial base, a natural resource and the main means of production, the acceleration of the growth rate of labor productivity based on the achievements of scientific and technical progress and the rational use of land, labor and financial resources, professional and environmental training of a land engineer.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) The educational discipline "Fundamentals of land management and cadastre" is based on a cycle of disciplines of professional and practical training, in particular, cartographer students must have basic knowledge of topographic and thematic mapping, geodesy and topography, mathematical processing of geodetic data, mathematical basis of maps, remote sensing of the earth. 2) knowledge of the theoretical foundations of mathematics, statistics, probability theory, engineering and computer graphics 3) possession of basic mathematical modeling skills, knowledge of GIS information systems.
Course content
Disclosure of the need for a comprehensive approach to the execution of works, starting from the formation of a land plot as an object of land ownership (including all types of survey work and processing of their results, determination of the legal status of the land plot, production of necessary documentation, etc.), production of index cadastral maps, creation of cadastral plans , the emergence of new types of work related to the current state of reforming land relations, the wide application of the latest information technologies, primarily geo-information systems (GIS), modern surveying technologies, including methods of remote land sensing in land management production.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course consists of two content modules: The first one reveals the historical and theoretical prerequisites for the development of land management. The emergence of land management and the first land management actions. Land reforms in foreign countries. Land use planning of administrative and territorial entities. Basic concepts and definitions of the land management system. the essence, components and functions of the land management system. Land properties taken into account during land management. The second is dedicated to the composition and types of land management works and land management in the system of social production: land ownership, land as a commodity in the market economy, socio-economic content of land management, land management as a component of the economic mechanism of the country, study of the condition of lands, planning, use and protection of lands, land management works at the local level.
Assessment methods and criteria
Classes are held in the form of lectures, seminars and practical. The discipline ends with a test. - semester assessment: 1. Modular control work 1: RN 1.1–1.4 – 40 / 20 points. 2. Modular control work 2: RN 2.1-2.3– 40 / 20 points. 3. Independent, seminar and practical classes: RN 1.1–2.3 – 20 / 10 points. - final evaluation: in the form of credit. The final grade from the educational component, the final form of control for which credit is established, is defined as the sum of grades (points) for all successfully assessed learning outcomes. Scores below the minimum threshold level are not added to the final score. Completion of all practical assignments is mandatory for receiving a positive final grade (60 points and above and "passed"). It is not allowed to retake the semester control in order to improve a positive grade.
