To ensure the assimilation of the specifics of the philosophical understanding of reality, to familiarize with existing philosophical concepts that reveal the polyphony and pluralism of philosophical thinking, to create conditions for the formation of a worldview and methodological culture of students.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting this course, students should know the main stages and characteristics of the historical and cultural process, which are based on the knowledge of the general secondary school program. To be able to collect and interpret information about phenomena and phenomena of the world and culture, to understand the essence of philosophical problems, topics, ideas, to be able to analyze philosophical and scientific texts. Have elementary skills of perception and analysis of information; critical attitude and forecasting regarding political, economic, cultural events and phenomena.
Course content
The discipline "Philosophy" is a mandatory discipline and is taught in the 7th semester of the bachelor's degree in the preparation of applicants for the educational program "Cartography, geographic information systems, remote sensing of the Earth." The educational discipline "Philosophy" provides an opportunity to involve students in the worldview and methodological culture accumulated by mankind throughout the history of its existence, to show the integral, integrative nature of knowledge about the surrounding world, to emphasize the fundamental importance for each person of his free worldview self-determination, the choice of an active life position, creation good by strengthening the state and society through its own activities.Philosophy for future specialists in natural and economic geography is a worldview and at the same time a methodological basis, on the basis of which the assimilation of humanitarian, general education, fundamental and applied disciplines takes place. To a large extent, it is precisely thanks to it that it becomes possible for students' consciousness to go beyond narrowly professional training, to focus on universal human values.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course includes 2 content parts. Classes are held in the form of lectures, seminars. The discipline ends with an exam. The first part of the course "Philosophical propaedeutics" is dedicated to revealing the content of the concepts of philosophy and worldview, defining the subject, functions, methods of philosophy, and its historical development. The second part of the course "Theoretical and Practical Philosophy" examines the main fundamental problems of philosophy.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge 1.1 - 1.6), which makes up 40% of the total assessment and the assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills 2.1 - 2.6); (communication 3.1–3.3); (autonomy and responsibility 4.1-4.3), which is 60% of the total grade.
