Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful completion of the courses "Physics", "Chemistry", "Geology", "Meteorology and
climatology";
2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of physics, chemistry, geology, earth science, climatology,
meteorology;
3. To have elementary practical skills of summarizing data by mode
water bodies, cartographic information processing, morphometric calculations and
hydrographic characteristics of catchments of water bodies, construction of flow hydrographs
river water with allocation of surface and underground nutrition, water balance.
Course content
this academic discipline is devoted to study
main sections of hydrology, general regularities of processes in the hydrosphere; tight
interconnection of the hydrosphere with the atmosphere, lithosphere; water cycle on Earth; basic
regularities of physical and geographical distribution of water bodies of various types (rivers, lakes,
glaciers, underground waters, swamps, oceans and seas) and their reserves; source information is provided
nutrition of water bodies, physical and geographical characteristics of their basins, water, thermal,
ice mode, their meaning and use
