Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of scientific-theoretical and practical material of disciplines taught to students of educational level "Bachelor": "Physiology and anatomy of man and animals", "Immunology", "Microbiology", "Biochemistry", "Anatomy and morphology of the lymphoid system" etc. 2. Ability to independently apply knowledge of the basics of anatomy, histology and cytology, general immunology, physiology and biophysics, biochemistry and other disciplines to solve specific scientific and practical problems; work with scientific and scientific-methodical literature. 3. Possession of basic skills of systems analysis.
Course content
The course is devoted to the study of the structure and properties of antigens and antibodies, mechanisms and consequences of their interaction during the immune response and in immunochemical analysis. The discipline "Immunochemistry" covers the structure, classification and characteristics of antigens, structure, mechanism of immunoglobulin biosynthesis, synthesis and properties of antibodies of different isotopes, antigenic properties of antibodies. Antibody-dependent cellular and humoral immune responses are studied. Particular attention is paid to immunochemical analysis. A review of classical serological research methods, as well as immunochemical analysis of antigens and antibodies based on indirect registration of immune complexes: enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, immunofluorescent and radioimmune. The principles of immunocytochemical, immunohistochemical analysis and immunochemical analysis of biological fluids are considered separately.
