Collect, process and analyze information in the field of Earth sciences (PR01). Use professional Ukrainian language orally and in writing (PR02). Determine the main characteristics, processes, history and composition of the Earth as a planetary system and its geospheres (PR06). Analyze the composition and structure of the geosphere (in accordance with the specialization) at different spatio-temporal scale levels (PR10). Be able to convey the results of activities to a professional audience and the general public, make presentations and messages (PR13).

Have basic knowledge from courses in natural geography, social and economic geography, understanding of the basic patterns of territorial organization of society; to be able to analyze cause-and-effect relationships between processes and phenomena that lead to the formation of various natural territorial complexes; analyze the causes and evaluate the consequences of economic and social processes; to have modern methods of searching and systematizing scientific documents and primary processing of geographical information; elementary skills of analysis and synthesis of geographical information, comparative geographical analysis.

Part 1 - "Physical Geography of Ukraine" - as an integral part of the discipline "Geography of Ukraine" includes an overview of the general features of the nature of the territory of Ukraine by components and more detailed characteristics of regional physical and geographical units with an emphasis on the influence of differences in natural conditions on the formation of the gastronomic heritage of Ukraine. Part 2 - "Economic and social geography of Ukraine" - is devoted to the study of theoretical and methodological aspects of the territorial organization of Ukrainian society, the characteristics of spatio-temporal manifestations of the functioning of certain branches of the country's economy. During the study of the discipline "Geography of Ukraine", attention is also paid to the formation of important general and professional competences of the bachelor - the skills and abilities to plan and carry out research and report on their results, to act professionally and tolerantly in various natural, socio-economic and ethno-cultural conditions, preserving the natural and cultural heritage of Ukraine.

The results of students' educational activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale (the grade is calculated as accumulated). Current control of the discipline is carried out during practical classes and aims to check the level of preparedness of students to perform specific tasks in the discipline. Students who scored a total of less points than the critical-calculated minimum (36 points) for both content parts must complete the individual tasks provided by the program again (for example, preparing an essay) in order to be admitted to the exam. Final (semester) control of students' knowledge of the discipline - written assessment in the form of a test. The maximum number of points based on the test results is 40. The final grade for the discipline is formed as the sum of the points received: 1) for tasks and control papers completed during the semester (maximum 60 points) and 2) for written examination work (maximum 40 points).
