To provide basic knowledge about the structure, the principle of operation of modern geodetic devices and the method of their application in topographic and geodetic works.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
To master the course, students must have knowledge of geodesy, optical physics, radio electronics, mathematical processing of the results of geodetic measurements, meteorology and know the methods and methods of performing topographical and geodetic works.
Course content
The discipline is dedicated to the acquisition by students of basic knowledge about the structure, principles of operation of modern digital, laser and optical geodetic devices and systems, methods of their use in various measurements, topographic and geodetic surveys, engineering and geodetic, cadastral and land management works at various stages of their implementation.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course includes one meaningful educational module. Classes are held in the form of lectures, practical and independent work. The discipline ends with a credit (in the 3rd semester).
During the semester, after the completion of the relevant topics, a thematic survey is conducted. In order to determine the level of achievement of learning outcomes provided for in clauses 2.1 - 2.3, during practical classes, students demonstrate the results of their independent work and the skills acquired during the current training.
For students who during the semester did not reach the minimum grade level (60% of the maximum possible number of points), a final test is conducted, the maximum grade for which cannot exceed 40% of the final grade (up to 40 points on a 100-point scale).
The condition for receiving a positive final grade in the discipline is to achieve at least 60% of the maximum possible number of points.
Assessment methods and criteria
The student is admitted to the credit on the condition that he completes all the practical works provided for in the plan. 1 point is deducted for each day of delay for work not completed on time.
Students who scored a total of less points than the critical calculation minimum - 20 points are not allowed to pass the test. The recommended minimum for admission to the test is 36 points.
Final evaluation in the form of credit (oral/written form): the maximum number of points on the credit - 40 points, the minimum number of points that are added to the semester ones - 24 points (60% of the maximum number of points assigned to the credit).
