successful mastering of mandatory and optional subjects according to the curriculum of the 1st year of study, especially such subjects as "Introduction to geoinformatics", "Topography", "Cartography", "Computer graphics for cartography and GIS".
Course content
The discipline examines the theoretical foundations, methods and technology of creating digital maps and is the main course in the university training of students of the relevant specialty, involves lectures and the performance of laboratory tasks conducted in the computer classroom.
The course consists of two substantive modules.
The form of discipline control is an exam.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, laboratory work, laboratory performance. works, consultations during the semester, defense of completed homework, exam
Assessment methods and criteria
The level of achievement of all planned learning outcomes is determined by the results of checking and defending laboratory works, writing written tests, and an exam.
The specific weight of learning outcomes in the final assessment, provided they are mastered at the appropriate level, is as follows:
knowledge (1.1–1.4 – 10 points);
skills (2.1–2.4 – 40 points);
communication (3.1 – 40 points);
autonomy and responsibility (4.1 – 10 points).
Forms and organization of assessment:
- current (semester) assessment (laboratory (minimum grade 20, maximum 40; control work (5-10); independent work (5-10));
– final (final) assessment in the form of an exam (assessment for theoretical knowledge (minimum 12, maximum 20 points); assessment for the practical part (13-20).
For students who scored a total of less points than the critical calculation minimum - 35 points, for admission to the final control form, it is necessary to pass an additionally completed individual task.
