1. Know the basic principles of creating and updating topographic plans of scales 1:500 - 1:5000. To know the theoretical foundations of geodesy, topographic mapping, compilation and updating of PR02 maps. To know the main methods of topographical and geodetic works PR02 PR13. 2. To be able to create a geodetic basis for carrying out various works of a spatial nature PR02 PR13. 3. Demonstrate skills and ability to use appropriate software for processing geodetic information PR02 PR13. 4. Demonstrate the ability to learn and be modernly trained, demonstrate determination and persistence in relation to the tasks and responsibilities undertaken PR02 PR13.

Knowledge of the school course of geography at the level of secondary education.

The study of the discipline provides information about topographic maps as a way of depicting the Earth's surface, which is characterized by a high degree of completeness of content, reliability and accuracy. While studying the discipline, students get acquainted with the methods of creating topographic maps and their application for the needs of science and practice. The discipline considers the method of performing angular and linear measurements in theodolite moves, leveling and calculating the coordinates and heights of points, performing topographic surveying and drawing up a large-scale topographical plan of the area. Acquired skills contribute to students' successful completion of educational and industrial practices. The program of the academic discipline consists of 4 content modules.

Forms of student assessment: the level of achievement of all planned learning outcomes is determined by the results of laboratory, independent, modular control works, assessment and examination. The specific weight of learning results in the final assessment, provided that it is mastered at the appropriate level, is as follows: - assessment for the first semester: 1. Modular control work 1:– 10 points. 2. Modular control work 2:– 10 points. 3. Laboratory works: – 30 points. Final evaluation: in the form of an exam.
