Course content
The content of the discipline reveals the basic concepts of general, dynamic and historical geology. The structure of the discipline involves the study of the general geophysical characteristics of the Earth, the most important information about minerals and rocks, the processes of internal and external geodynamics, and the scientific foundations of methods for reconstructing the history of the Earth's development.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student evaluation forms: - semester evaluation: the number of points that the student receives during the term of studying the discipline is the sum of the points that were received during the evaluation of the completed practical work, survey and writing of control papers. Evaluation by forms of control: – Surveys on topics total max 5 points / min 2 points; – Performance of practical works in total max 5 points / min 3 points; – Modular control work in total max 5 points / min 2 points; - Modular control work in total max 5 points / min 2 points – the final evaluation in the form of an exam is conducted in writing. The maximum number of points on the exam is 10 points, the minimum number of points added to the semester ones is 5 points. - conditions for admission to the exam: students who scored a total of less points than the critical-calculated minimum are not allowed to take the exam. The recommended minimum for admission is 7 points.
