Learning outcomes
PRN1. To evaluate one's own educational and scientific and professional activities in the field of Belarusian and Ukrainian studies, to build and implement an effective strategy of self-development and professional self-improvement. PRN8. To evaluate the historical assets and the latest achievements of Slavic (Belarusian) and Ukrainian literary studies. PRN11. Carry out a scientific analysis of Belarusian, Ukrainian, English language and speech material, as well as Belarusian and Ukrainian literary material, interpret and structure it taking into account classical and modern methodological principles, formulate generalizations based on independently processed data. Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know - the Ukrainian cultural tradition, the socio-historical and cultural context of the development of the history of Ukrainian literature; - schools, theories, directions of modern cultural studies; - significant Ukrainian cultural works about the defining figures of the history of Ukrainian literature and the peculiarities of the development of Ukrainian poetry, prose, and drama; Be able - to analyze the ideological and artistic content of cultural studies, to identify the main trends in the development of Ukrainian cultural science; - to reveal the theoretical and methodological basis of studies of the regularities of the development of Ukrainian literature in cultural studies; - collect, systematize, describe and analyze the researched material; Have elementary skills - to have the latest methods of analysis of the researched material.
Course content
The course deepens knowledge of the history of Ukrainian literature in the context of cultural studies, patterns of development of the historical-literary process in relationships with world literature and culture. He continues the systematic study of iconic literary figures and phenomena in a variety of styles and genres, the peculiarities of the poetics of Ukrainian lyrics, drama, short stories, novels, their genre-stylistic and generic-species specificities, traces the dynamics of the coverage of these issues in cultural works. The discipline is designed to provide a professional study of the main trends in the history of Ukrainian literature, reflected in the leading cultural studies, to deepen the understanding of the specifics of the development of Ukrainian literature, criticism and literary studies based on the study of significant cultural works.

Assessment methods and criteria
Throughout the semester, lectures and individual consultations are held, written works are checked, and the level of assimilation of the material assigned for independent study is assessed. Planned types of work and forms of control: response to the seminar class (3/5 p.), creative tasks (3/5 p.), modular control work / creative project (6/10 p.). The credit is given based on the results of the student's work throughout the entire semester and does not include additional assessment measures. Students who scored the minimum positive number of points (60 points) receive "enrolled".
