Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the courses of the master's program. 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of meteorology and climatology, the ability to establish cause and effect relationships between phenomena and processes occurring in the natural environment. 3. Knowledge of methods of synthesis and analysis of information.
Course content
The discipline is devoted to the repetition of the main conceptual and basic scientific and theoretical provisions of the courses included in the educational program of master's training and is aimed at preparing graduates of the master's program to pass the qualifying exam in the specialty. The course consists of 2 content modules. The first module covers the theoretical foundations of weather forecasting and practical issues of numerical methods of weather forecasting, analysis of meteorological processes and fields, applied meteorology, urban meteorology, atmospheric chemistry and climate change. The second module deals with the issues of global climate dynamics, microclimatology, economic meteorology, modeling in agrometeorology, innovative technologies for adaptation to climate change.

Assessment methods and criteria
Control is carried out by a module-rating system. The maximum score is 100 points, 60 of which the student can gain during the semester control and 40 points - on the test. The content module 1 (CM1) includes topics 1-4, the content module 2 (CM2) - topics 5-9.
