Learning outcomes
PLO 2. To demonstrate a confident level of the state and foreign (English) languages mastery to perform written and spoken communication, namely in the situations of professional and scientific communication; to present the results of their studies in the state and foreign languages.
PLO 6. To use knowledge on expressive, emotive, logical language means and speech techniques in order to achieve an intended pragmatic result and organize a successful communication.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know the Ukrainian language at a level sufficient to read unadapted literary texts; to understand the specifics of the literary style of the Ukrainian language.
2. To be able to work with literary texts in Ukrainian: to read, understand the meaning, analyze the content and structure, use dictionaries and other reference books to clarify the incomprehensible.
3. Successful completion of theoretical and practical courses in Ukrainian language and literature taught during 1-3 semesters of the master's program.
Course content
The purpose of the course is to generalize knowledge about the leading ideological and aesthetic trends in the development of Ukrainian literature, to deepen basic skills in identifying the main trends in the problematic, thematic, genre and style development of Ukrainian literature, to improve professional knowledge of the optimal scope of literary concepts and terms necessary for the full analysis and interpretation of literary texts.
As the final stage in the study of Ukrainian literature, the course allows students to deepen their basic knowledge and discover new interpretive possibilities of a literary text when considering historical, literary and critical works of Ukrainian literature.

Forms of learning - practical classes, independent work.
Teaching methods - explanation of new material, interaction with the teacher and students, independent work with scientific and reference sources, with texts of fiction, collective analysis of a fiction text, demonstration analysis of a literary text and its discussion.
Assessment methods and criteria
Written text analysis, oral response, additions and oppositions, tests, individual work.
