Learning outcomes
PLO 9. To characterize theoretical (concepts, categories, principles, basic concepts, etc.) principles and practical aspects of a Ukrainian language and literature.
PLO 13. To explain the essence of specific linguistic issues and one’s own point of view and its justification to the experts and laypeople in an accessible and argumentative manner, in particular to individuals who are studying.
PLO 16. To use specialized conceptual knowledge in a Ukrainian language, literature and Linguodidactics field to solve complex tasks and issues, which requires updates and integration of knowledge, often under conditions of incomplete/lacking information and contradictory requirements.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. The student must have theoretical knowledge of the main levels of language (phonetics, lexicology, morphology, syntax); know the features and structural organization of these levels, the laws of language functioning.
2. The student must be proficient in Ukrainian and be able to apply theoretical knowledge in practice.
3. The student must have the skills to analyze theoretical and educational material.
Course content
The discipline is based on the communicative-activity methodological concept. It allows students to familiarize themselves with the linguodidactic description of the Ukrainian language, general issues of linguodidactics (content, principles of teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language, approaches to its teaching); techniques and methods of teaching foreigners at all levels of the language (phonetics, lexicology, grammar); organization of the educational process and independent work.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Forms of study: lectures, practical classes, independent work, organization of extracurricular activities, preparation of presentations.
Teaching methods: informative and explanatory method, interactive methods, search, partially search methods, independent work with educational, scientific and reference literature.
Assessment methods and criteria
Oral answer, written homework, module test, outline of the UMI class, organization of extracurricular activities, exam.
