PLO 2. Process information effectively: collect relevant information from a variety of sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO 6. Use information and communication technologies to solve complex specialized tasks and issues of professional activity. PLO 17. Collect, analyze, systematize and interpret language and speech facts and use them to solve complex problems and problems in specialized fields of professional activity and / or training. PLO18. Have the skills to manage complex activities or projects in solving complicated problems in professional activity in the framework of the selected philological specialization and be responsible for making decisions under unpredictable conditions. Prerequisites and co-requisites
Course pre-requisites: 1) successful mastering of the academic disciplines "Introduction to Linguistics", "Introduction to Literary Studies", "Culture of Ancient Greece and Rome (in Ancient Greek and Latin texts"); "History of Ancient Greek Literature", "History of Roman Literature", "Latin Language" , "Ancient Greek language". 2) knowledge of the basics of literary and linguistic terminology, general information about the history of linguistic studies, the basics of grammar and syntax of both ancient and modern languages; 3) possession of elementary skills of analysis and interpretation of text and language material.
Course content
The goal of the discipline is to increase the level of preparation of students for independent practical work; to form the skills of scientific work, which involves choosing a scientific linguistic or literary topic in the context of modern problems and its independent research. Abstract of the educational discipline: the "Coursework" is an educational and scientific study in which the student must not only demonstrate the ability to master scientific sources and operate with them, but also perform independent research. It involves the analysis and interpretation of linguistic and literary material based on the development of the methodological apparatus of certain linguistic and literary-critical schools; formulation of generalizations and substantiation of conclusions based on own observations.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes: ‘knowledge’ (1.1 - 1.5), which makes up 40% of the total assessment, and the assessment of practical training - learning outcomes ‘skills’ (2.1-2.4); ‘communication’ 3.1; ‘autonomy and responsibility’ 4.1, which is 60% of the total grade. Grading is carried out by the academic supervisor during the coursework writing, after mastering topics 1-5 and on the day of the coursework defense in accordance with the evaluation criteria in the form of filling out the evaluation sheet. The final grade for the discipline (minimum 60, maximum 100 points) consists of the sum of the number of points for the semester work and the defense of the work.
